80's MX Reunion, Aug 3rd Corona Pole Position Raceway

Two decades ago the sport of motocross had an entirely different look and feel. There were no factory semis, no reality television shows, and the tracks had names such as Carlsbad, Saddleback, Barona Oaks, Perris Raceway, Indian Dunes, LACR, Ascot Park, Corona Raceway, and Orange County International Raceway (O.C.I.R.). To celebrate this historic era, a group of dedicated motocross racers and enthusiasts have put together an evening full of fun at Pole Position Raceway in Corona, California that will be open to the public. There will be display bikes from the '80s, along with food, drinks and world-class indoor karting. Monster Energy Drink, Suzuki, Troy Lee Designs and Pole Position Raceway will also be giving out prizes. The event is August 3 from 5-9pm.

Sissy Bars are way better than gay bars

Fabbed up a removable sissy bar for Tim's '09 sporty which he has quickly transformed from stock to this eye-pleasing freedom machine. More good stuff on the way will include a stainless 2-1, tokico brakes, and trick starter switch.

Mooneyes or L.A. Calender show?

As an enthusiast as well as dedicated blogga, I think I will hit both on Sunday. Check out what speed shop design (RULERS) is bringing to the Queen Mary from Seattle.  So cool that there are others like me and you, right?

Audrey Tautousday

Sometimes you can just feel the soul of a bike sitting still before you, yet at the same time, moving in perpetual motion; and likewise it is with the right woman. Her soft brown eyes will tell you all the things words cannot, and her subtle moves will make you want to follow her to the ends of the earth.

Swoop dogg

I designed and machined a neat new air cleaner cover with a deep dish look that swoops out to a radiused edge. Classy, not too flashy, and smooth is the name of the game with this baby, and it's sure to be a winner or weiner. It looks like spun aluminum only sexier.

My redundant take on the famous "SPRINGER"

Let me describe what the hell is going on here. This is an internally sprung mini-telescopic springer meaning I included hard-chromed forks, dampers, springs, bushings, and seals. I spent a minute designing this thing and I'm pretty happy with the results although it is a little more modern looking that I had hoped. Anyway, also on the menu are some delicious double-sheer rockers, rotating on bronze bushings, all this held together by chromoly rear legs and aluminum adjustable trees.  It will be going on an upcoming sporty build w/ a fred hernandez single down tube frame with 38 deg rake, stock height, and custom motor mounts and axle plates. Once bolted up and sag height is set, I'll chop the rear legs to match the top tree and then comes the fun part of actually testing the spring action.

Garage Company

On Saturday I felt like taking a ride so what better place to head out to than the Garage Company, now in their bigger, better museum-like shop where I will be sure to visit often. There was a good turnout and  our host Yoshi is one with the most...hospitality and moto parts.
