Velocity stacks,slotted and tapped on the back side for 8-32 screws, will be mated to an aluminum backing plate and uni filter foam carefully glued together to make a nice domed breadbox style air cleaner.  May the force be with you Brent from Canada.

Finally...

Gettin Ready...

...for some EDR action, hopefully, that's if my throttle cables come in, I finish  my tank, the upholsterer sews up the seat, my pipes get fitted & welded all by Thursday. We'll see !!! I cut out the tunnel off this baby so it can fit my triple backbone and a little more fuel. This insert I formed to fit with a hammer and dolly. Now off to Matt the welder.

Cock-Eyed Air Cleaner

I've always liked the bug-eye or holy-moly Air cleaner,  but always hated the quality and the fact that a 6-year old Chinese girl made it. So I figured I can do it better than a Chinese girl so here's my interpretation. I started with a 5-1/4 diameter x 1-3/4 piece of 6061 aluminum and whittled away most of the innards until it looked more like a velocity stack. Next I used one of my Bubba cast covers and put some holes in and cleared out the inside ribs for some 3/8" UNI filter foam.  I'm using the perforated sheet to hold the foam in and I'm still waiting for ssome stainless mesh to squeeze out of the holes to give it that final touch. Final assembly pics coming soon, so stay tuned.

Psycho Monday

  Took the old lady & the kids for a weekend getaway before I ended up like this dude. It is funny watching young parents chasing around their screaming offspring, lugging strollers, changing diapers, all while trying to show their little monsters a fun time when all they want is a $12 snowcone. I don't miss that shit at all. We can go out and now really see their appreciation for places visited, stories heard, and taste for good food.  It makes it all worthwhile when having a relaxing time with the family means just that.

With so many projects, keeping up with orders and my day job, I've had little time to finish her up. Here's a sexy little number I made up for Brent-omatic carved from 1" aluminum and tapering down here and there.  He chose the 4-piston caliper from a Honda since he will be running a spool up front. Good times await for this cat.

Thanks to Matt the welder who bent  and welded up my new stainless bars. I  knurled the center section and notched the ends at 10 degrees. After some polishing they came out better than chrome.
