Hamburger Run

Friday, didn't have shit to do, so I took the Ortega Hwy from Lake Smellsinore to SJC, then took the PCH to San Clemente, stopping at The Riders Club Cafe (Surfer, not Biker) for the best burger. After riding around for a bit, I stopped by the gas station to fill up and found out that the brand new and fully charged battery was completely drained. Fuck, the charging system is probably shot. After hooking up to the charger for few minutes, the bike was good to go, so I rode over the Ortega back to hot Lake Assinore. Good way to start the weekend.

Foot Pegs for Temecula Terry from Alhambra

I made these for a buddy of mine who hooks me up consistently with some great beers. Wrenching, drinking, sharing moto tales, tall and short, is how the Beer Booters got started. And the buzz continues with a nice lil shindig and "chopper show" at my place this Saturday. So if you're in town stop by and say hello and pick up a beer and toast to good times.

Star Hub Rotor Carrier

I've seen this sold as a kit but with the billet look and modern looking caliper, I say they look like ass and knowing we can do better I set off to do just that, and with modern components. A small Brembo 240mm star-shaped rotor and matching caliper keep with the star theme and are not too overwhelming, neither is the 6" diameter of aluminum billet that when machined blends in nicely with the hub.
Did you know who uses special 3/8-20 bolts on their drums? The factory that's who, fuck, so off to get a special pitch tap. Here are some sneak pics. Axle is done, and I'm still waiting for the rotor bolts and I still have to make the caliper bracket and axle spacers.

Munster Boner

Found this 1100 while loitering around the Ducati forum. Stripping an already stripped bike enhances the sex appeal.

Lossa Engineering

So I jump on my bike  to deliver a Bubba air cleaner in Long Beach, and I remember the open house Lossa is having, so I stop by for a bit to check out their shop and snap some pics. Pretty nice stuff coming out of there. Funny coincidence, cuz on my way home I stop by my friend Chihuahua Frank's place and he tells me he's picking up a KZ750 and wants me to "cafe" it up. I'm thinking 16/16 DID spoke wheel combo with short tracker bars, wide front end, and nice rear loop. We'll see where this one takes me. The journey there is worth the trip...or something like that.

Heavy Breathing

The Sporty was in need of some heavy breathing, so "Bubba" came to the rescue. Bubba+Bates Pegs+Pull-Starter= 10+hp! Maybe not that much...

Shovel it up.....

If you know my buddy  Ryan from Classic Cycles you know what kind of quality British bikes this guy put out, as well as the intensive care of dying motors they perform on a day to day basis. So what? He's got a shovel? Yup, sneak peek here.....
